Barclaycard - Foreign Cash Withdrawal - this is a bonus!

Point taken on the conversion of APR to a monthly rate, that does make Barclaycard a bit more expensive, I didn't convert it over to monthly.
I think I was probably in shock at finding I could withdraw cash abroad cheaper on a credit card (if then paid in full) than on my debit card. So using their money and not mine, even if it is only for a little while.
For me Barclaycard Freedom Rewards is 2.99% flat rate but my debit card is a flat fee of I think £3 plus 2.75% of the amount drawn.0 -
@Simon7685: here's a very good summary table for both CCs and debit cards.

Foreign cash on a Barclaycard is 2.99% fee with no minimum and no interest if repaid in full. Doesn't apply to domestic cash advances.
I used it to withdraw about £4 in Ukraine earlier this year when all the ATMs were Visa only, so couldn't use my Clarity - 12p total fees/charges.0 -

In this way it is better than SAGA(for small withdrawals, £67 or under), as they have a minimum charge of £2 for cash withdrawals. Though SAGA charge nothing for foreign transactions/purchases, against Barclaycard's 2.99%.0 -

Indeed, the BC is a bog standard card purchase wise, it's only a benefit for cash. For foreign purchases I use (in this order) Aqua Reward, Nationwide Select, Halifax Clarity.0
