No one place is always cheapest for all supplies, you can also get bargains at poundland, wilkinsons, bookers, ebay, etc.0

Poundland/99p shops and similar are probably the cheapest and have quite a range - although they like others may be clearing some away to fill their stands with Christmas stuff.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

I'd say it was also worth contacting any local companies: we use one which gives a discount to match the 'big boys' and delivers as promptly.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Don't forget the big Tescos and Sainsburys usually have large stationery sections. Also eBay, if you're willing to wait a day or two for it to arrive.0

Don't forget cashback sites like quidco if you are buying online.
WH Smith also have deals and vouchers from time to time.
On some products it is definitely worth paying for the proper brand, the generic copies are often nowhere near as good. Other times the leading brand is a rip off and the generic copy is as good. It's a minefield but basically although the deals are when you buy in bulk start by buying one or two of an item and find out where you can save money before stocking up. I bought boxes and boxes of generic biros and they all last 5 minutes, would rather have paid more for half the number of Bic pens. Cheap sellotape and packing tape rarely works.0 -
I've used Caboodle.co.uk in the past as well.0

I would not rule out local office supply shops especially if you do not need large quantities. Most, if they see that you are a regular customer will give you discounts and be very helpful. My local shop often will split a box of files/envelopes etc. if I do not need a whole box.0

I'm not naming my company name so I think I am allowed to say this (do let me know if I am wrong, but I'm not touting!) but yes, we do this too, promise to beat the big 3 (their mark ups must be phenomenal!) and next day delivery.0 -
Don't forget Costco. Big boxes, but better-per-individual-envelope prices. Just only go in with a list, or finite cash, with all other forms of currency locked in the vehicle!0
