npower still cheapest?

I've been using the comparison sites and npower are coming out cheapest for me for a fixed tariff. Is their price rise effective immediately or Dec 1st as I've read people say on forums? If the price rise is immediate are the comparison sites up to speed with their quotes?
Just worried about switching to them and being locked in to a higher rate. Should I still switch to npower if they are comping up cheapest?
Cheers

If it's a fixed tariff it doesn't matter whether the price rise is included or not; it's fixed.0

They've already closed one fixed tariff. Probably shouldn't hum and haw for too much longer.0

Cashback is being offered on the 2017 fix for another 4 days via TopCashBack so it'll be around at least that long. The 2015 fix could change/disappear at any time!0
