Parking Eye - Scotland

Hi
Just a quick question, I've read over the guidance around this but am just after some reassurance that I've understood it correctly.
Am I right in thinking, in Scotland any Parking Charge Notices from Parking Eye should still be ignored as they cant pursue the registered keeper or prove they were the driver?
I received one in the post yesterday for overstaying my welcome in a Morrisons store I use regularly, I wasnt even aware there was a restriction and have never noticed a sign!
Thanks in advance

Yes - ignore totally.
You will get 5 or 6 letters - then they cease - as long as you have NOT contacted /responded to them in any way.0 -
Thanks, I just wanted some reassurance that I understood correctly - about to shred it!0

DON'T!
KEEP all correspondence you receive - just in case. You don't need to DO anything with it, but it's worth keeping for reference just in case they DO decide to test the waters with a claim.0 -
Ah, OK will do.
Thanks0 -
Received the PCN reminder yesterday........hope they get bored of this quickly0

3-6 months (probably) before this goes away. Next letter will likely be from a debt collector, followed by more, then from a solicitors, and then it'll go quiet.

It might well be you're treated to the full Monty from PE including the Letter Before Claim and even an attempt at serving Court Papers - PE have done this before in Scotland. Part of the intimidation process.
Whilst the OP shouldn't be concerned about these (unlike in England and Wales) as long as the driver is not identified, I think you should just be a little bit prepared for them.
I don't think PE do any differentiation by country (see current thread where they are pursuing in Germany). The PE juggernaut ploughs relentlessly forward ......... without the Sat Nav turned on!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Things went quiet for a while.......but I've now received the letter from the Debt Collector, Debt Recovery Plus Ltd.
My understanding is that I continue to ignore......can someone just reassure me please. Letter states I should cough up £135 or they will recommend to the creditor's solicitor that court action should be taken to recover the debt eekkk.
I'm not sure this even matters but for what its worth, I changed cars about 6 weeks ago so no longer own the offending vehicle0 -
Refer to my post #8.
