Width (size) of a pair of curtains

So if buying Peony Garden Amethyst cotton pencil pleat ready made curtains from Laura Ashley where it says choose size eg W162cm L183cm, does this mean the total size of the material of the pair of curtains I would buy is W162cm by L183cm? or 324cm by 183cm?

I am confused because on their website it says

Width measurements include both curtains when offered as a pair
  • 64" to fit window/ pole length 152cm to 213cm (60" to 84")
  • 88" to fit window/ pole length 198cm to 274cm (78" to 108")
Thanks for any clarification.

    Ta, from that page -

Dunelm Mill ready made curtains are sold in pairs. The size given refers to each individual curtain, so if you buy a pair of curtains measuring 117cm x 137cm (46" x 54") you will receive two curtains each with the same measurement of width 117cm x length 137cm (width 46" x length 54").

Do all the curtain selling companies do the same?

A pair of curtains advertised at 117cm when thats the size of a single curtain is probably good practice since you want 1.5 to 2x the material for a given width so they would fit a 117cm wide window perfectly.

Thanks Jaynne. Laura Ashley just emailed me this -

I can confirm that each curtain of the pair in its ungathered state will have the width measurement advertised. Each curtain of the pair can then be gathered up to a maximum of half of its width. Thus when both curtains are put together they will measure the advertised width.
