Some time ago I needed to start my PC in safe mode. Which I did but now every time I boot it up it starts in safe mode and I have to select normal to get it going. I want to tell it to start in normal every time but don't know how to stop it always starting in safe mode.
Any ideas?

hi,
why did you need to restart in safe mode? did you have a problem? if so was this resolved? if not then check the the drivers for devices you have installed are all OK. also clear the cache out, and run the defrag under system tools. I would also recommend you try the microsoft knowledgebase on https://www.microsoft.com/uk
Let me know how you get on.
Cheers

Ted, try these:
Windows 98 or Windows 95 Defaults to Safe Mode
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=143283
The Computer Always Starts in Safe Mode
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306615
Also, the F5 key pressed at boot leads to Safe Mode. If it is 'sticky' the desktop will constantly blink.0 -

these appear to be on the right track however I had a problem finding msdos.sys as it was read only and hidden
but now I have learnt about settings folder options view and show all files so I am able to read the msdos.sys file
However I have no Bootsafe=1
I have
[Options]
BootMulti=1
BootGUI=1
DoubleBuffer=1
AutoScan=1
WinVer=4.10.2222
Can I add BootSafe=0
or should I change the multi or GUI values.?My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Try cheating first and put the bootsafe=1 command in. Reboot and then delete it0
