Over £700 in credit 5 months after switch
Hi all,
Thanks in advance for any help. First time poster.
I switched energy supplier from Npower to EDF about 5 months ago. I just had my final bill from Npower and I am over £700 in credit with them. I wrote a message online to them 11 days ago and have had no response regarding them paying me this money back.
Where do I go from here?
Thank-you

You didn't get a final bill until 5 months after you switched? Call them and demand the money.0

Does the final bill not explain how & when you should be refunded the credit showing on that bill?
If not, have you called them to ask?
The 2 usual ways most suppliers refund any accrued credit on a final bill are either by cheque made payable to the account holder, or sometimes direct back to the bank account where the DD payments are collected from.
I think nPower prefer to refund to your bank account (where they have the details). It can take 10 working days.0 -
Hi, thanks,
no info on the bill regarding when I will be receiving payment.
It didn't indicate working days, so I assumed it wasn't.
I haven't had the opportunity to call yet- work & kids are quite demanding.- I will endeavour to do so soon if I hear nothing back.
Thanks again.0 -
With that amount of credit make sure that the reads on changeover were correct. Otherwise you may get back from one supplier but need to give to the new one.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Hello normg,
Thank you for your post. If you send me your account details to the email address on my profile page, I can check your account for you and chase up your refund.
Thanks
