On the 12th I arranged an extension on my overdraft, of £702, to incorporate two other overdrafts. The bank agreed and we worked out reducing the overdraft by £117 per month to bring it back to my original overdraft.
Fast forward to 15th... hubby got paid and bank suddenly reduced the overdraft by £702!!!!! We didn't find this out til saturday evening.
I phoned the banks call centre and they told me I couldn't do anything about it until Monday when the lending department was open.
Even if they reinstate the OD it wont happen for a couple of working days meaning any direct debits could be affected.
In the meantime we cant pay our rent or do our shopping or pay any other bills.
I'm worried sick about it all. I'm so afraid they may not reinstate it and we'll be broke and get our credit rating (which is ok but not excellent) totally slammed. It was all arranged over the phone and we haven't recieved anything in writing yet.
Do we have a leg to stand on???

I would clarify with the bank what has happened and what you believed you were agreeing to as well as explaining about the rent payments. They should be able to sort that out, otherwise post on here tomorrow and more peeps will be able to advise further.0
