Trying to consolidate my parents energy plans.

Hi there,
This has been a long time coming, but basically...
My parents are being ridden (and have been), for years on their energy. (Just been upped to £70).
Currently, the Gas is on Scottish Power, Montly Direct Debit and their Electricity is Prepayment Key, which they pay on average £80 - £90.
I really want to sort it out for them and I've followed some of the guides that state you can make savings by switching to one supplier, quarterly direct debit.
Although it doesn't appear to be working that way.
Like imbeciles, my mum and dad just pay up and that's that. So I'm not even sure what tarrifs they are on.
I'm just on here, to get some advice of where to start. I really want to get them off the key meter, because I'm pretty sure that they are being wayyyy overcharged.
