There should really be a seperate mechanism for low value defaults. Shorter length of time on your credit file or removed when settled. Like using an uzi to kill a fly...total overkill.
In terms of mortgages would all lenders have a problem with such a small default? I'm wondering whether they would even see the amount and just see DEFAULT and immediately reject? Is there any process where you can declare any issues and try and explain?
I'm trying to find answers to those very questions reading the forum
I may start my own thread just in case. 0 -
My advice is push push push I got mine removed after similar situation orange eventually admitted fault and removed it x0

Latest: T-mobile have responded to the letter and stated that they have agreed to remove the default as a sign of goodwill. This should take effect from the 10th of the following month i.e. 10/11/13. I'll not get too excited until I see it gone but this seems to be excellent news. Assuming it all goes as they say then I am very impressed with how T-Mobile have acted.0

Hi Waltagon
I am in a very similar situation with TMobile.
I have just found out about a default of £65. on my old account (almost 2 years ago).
What's more frustrating is that I swtitched from TMobile to EE , who own TMobile, but still never heard anything about this outstanding £65. Then, when I try to apply for a re-mortgage and am rejected immediately.
I would really appreciate a copy of your letter, or a link to a template you used, if you still have it.
Many thanks
