Please help to uninstall Kaspersky

Hello
I'm trying to follow the steps in the thread about tidying up a PC.
I uninstalled various anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.

However, it seems impossible to uninstall Kaspersky.
I get an error message
"impossible to delete Kaspersky Anti-Virus Service (AVP)".
(That might not be the exact wording as I'm working on a French version.)

I think Kaspersky might have come with the computer when I got it, but it's now way out of date and seems to be trying to force me to buy a new version.

Any ideas what I can do please?

New KIS licence cheap enough 2011 qnd 2012 will update to 2013 .
From £6-50 and you may find cheaper .

Currently KIS 2014. You can buy a single licence from £4.

sadly for me i will have to stretch to pay the fiver, i don't bank with barclays
