I have purchased a 3 + 2 seater + foot stool from a large furniture company. These sofa's within the first 4 weeks of purchase the cushions you sit on became really soft and saggy, the leather started to puddle (upholsters term not mines).
He stated that the way the sofa is, it's the way its supposed to be but i feel i have been deceived and this company is trying to fob me off with what this guy they have sent out who would have been really intimidating to any elderly person because how instantly defensive and argumentative he was...
I took various photos of what i seen inside this sofa and the new foam he added to it. The way i see it, if the sofa was ok then why did he feel the need to add this extra material and carry out unnecessary work, why does the material inside the sofa have rips and splitting at this early stage also?
On his paper work he wanted me to sign quickly i refused to sign the box he wanted me to sign and wrote under it i was still not satisfied as the sofa is still not as described at point of sale and still of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for any purpose that is made known to the seller which is covered under the sales of goods act 1979.
I have no experience claiming this hence why i am seeking any friendly assistance out there to help guide me in the correct direction, i am fully aware this said company is a member of the furniture ombudsman and i intend to now go down that route also but at what point can i go down that route? I will upload various photos of the work to photobucket and try attach my photo bucket page so anyone can look at as i am a new member of the forum and it wont allow me to. The way i see it as the upholster has done this work which in my eyes proves the product doesnt meet the statutory rights of; satisfactory quality, as described and fit for any purpose that is made known to the seller because he has needed to do work to it and its still no improvement.
Like i said any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for taking the time to look.

Also to add when i called the store originally to complain the store manager was also really defensive and not helpful at all, i stated that looking at alot of the reviews etc pointed me not to use the business and it seems they were correct to which his reply was he didn't care about online reviews. Which proves this company doesn't care about its customers who spend alot of money on there poor quality furniture...0

Was it an expensive set?
Has the extra foam fixed the problem?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I hope you get a quick result. Maybe you should not have let them do the repair .0
