ford focus - fuel system bleed
Comments

If its the old 1.8 engine then it should bleed itself very quickly.
If they have got air locked then you need to undo the fuel feed pipe on the top of each injector one at a time while someone cranks the engine over.
Get someone to crank it and undo the pipe very slightly until fuel sprays out. Wear protection its very high pressure.
As soon as fuel sprays out tighten it back up and give the car a couple of minutes rest.
Then repeat on the next injector.
This applies to the older or newer engine.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Ah the wonders of the XUD in my now defunct Xantia. Big rubber bulb to prime by hand. They don't make them like that anymore...
Although it might be possible to retro fit a manual pump like that as the fuel lines enter the engine bay just to help the air push through as the engine is cranked. Someone will soon correct me and say I'm talking rubbish and that your engine will explode.0 -
You can but when you remove the pump you allow air into the system anyway.
Shouldnt change all 4 at the same time, Change one run the engine up. Change another and repeat.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
