Confused :-(
Hi all.
I am new to this so be patient :-)
Firstly we moved to a 3 bedroom maisonette and it had a pre payment meter, we have since had this changed to a credit meter, we have chosen to go with First Utility as they would change the meters for free.
When doing comparisons our tariff comes out cheapest, isave V16 which is variable.
I want to change to a fixed tariff which are more expensive for now.
Do I go for a short fix which is a bit more expensive than what we are paying now or a long fix which is alot more expensive ?
Really really confused and need your help please.
Many Thanks.
Darren.

Welcome to the forum.
As asked before, 'who will win the '2:30 at Ascot racecourse'?
It is simply a gamble, and none of us know the answer.
It is even possible, but unlikely, that energy bills will reduce through political intervention e.g. moving the 'green Levy' from our bills to general taxation. That would be popular with an election looming.
If Labour did win, Ed has promised a price freeze.
Also don't forget you will pay extra for the first year or two, and then have to recoup that before showing a profit.
For a 4 year fix I personally wouldn't pay more than about 12% premium.0
