Currently with Npower on White Meter Heating and planning on buying our first house in the next few months. Is it worth switching supplier now or will we just get tied into a year contract?

Not familiar with that tariff but quite a few of the existing tariffs appear to be portable on a house move and/or do not have tie-in fees so you wouldn't necessarily be penalised.
