Argos refunds when item was bought 9 months ago?

We bought a soundbar back in Feb of this year and 1 of the speakers has stopped working for some reason.

we still have the receipt and want to take it back as its no use to us with only 1 speaker working but we dont want the same item again as was warned they dont last very long and we paid by gift vouchers so what are the chances that they will refund it in gift vouchers?

we paid by the vouchers so know they will have to refund it back in vouchers.

It's up to Argos, you can request a refund but they can refuse and offer a repair or exchange instead.

    its made by Bush.

If you paid by Voucher ( i assume love2shop) then if they refund it will be an Argos gift card.

Also Bush is a Home Retail Group (Argos parent company) brand.

Just in case any of the dogooders decide to pipe in demanding i prove this. they can read this
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_%28brand%29
Bush is a British consumer electronics brand owned by Home Retail Group, and is one of the most famous names on early British radios. Its sister brand is Alba. Today, all Bush and Alba products are sold exclusively at Argos

I have always had good experiences when returning faulty products to Argos.

They will more than likely take the soundbar from you and send it away to be assessed, to see if it is economical to repair.

In most cases with electrical products like these, it isn't econmical to repair and they will offer you a credit note or exchange.
  • Likewise, anything I've ever returned to Argos has just been an immediate refund via the method paid rather than messing about with sending away for assessment etc

Given its an argos branded item that probably costs under £10 per unit to them its unlikely to be economical for them to pay for it to be examined etc
