Thomson flight changes

Good evening, I'm just after a bit of advice. My fiance and myself booked our honeymoon through Thomson to Las Vegas for a week, we are now 5 weeks away and my fiance received a call from Thomson on Saturday saying there was a problem with our booking and the return flight had been cancelled. We were originally flying from Las Vegas to Atlanta to Manchester they have offered alternative flights flying from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City to Paris to Manchester. Obviously we weren't happy with this and they were going to look into it, My fiance received a call this morning saying they could change us back to a one stop flight but it would be another £106 on top of what we have already paid. Are they within their rights to do this or should I be kicking up a fuss?

Sounds to me as though they missed the ticketing deadline and the fares have gone up so they are trying to find a cheaper way home. If Delta, which is obviously the airline concerned, have cancelled the Monday flights back from Atlanta, the only day the flight does not operate, they will have notified Thomson's months ago and you should not be asked to pay any more at this stage

Take a look for yourself on the Delta website. Work out which new flight combination would work for you and then politely ask if you can move on to that one. Try Thomson first but you may have better luck calling DL directly. I have always found them very accommodating in the past.
