Hi, My mum had a stair lift costing about £1700 fitted for approximately 6 months before moving. When she moved into a flat the company removed it and gave her just £160 which they said was the standard rate. They said it would be reconditioned.
I have no idea about reconditioned prices but my mothers was only used for 6 months so I would have hesitation about buying reconditioned if I got one like hers with little wear.

My current stairlift is reconditioned and its been going for eleven years now, it has been serviced a few times and it needed a new charger a few years ago.
I paid £750 for it and it was worth every penny, I have had new stairlifts and one was a lemon that constantly broke down so the reconditioned one was a better buy.
My granda also bougth a reconditiond stairlift and his is even older than mine, his has been repaired twice and it gets serviced each year. His cost about the same as mine and like me he had new stair lifts previously which much more expensive and no better than the reconditioned ones.
I would buy another reconditioned stairlift in a heartbeat, so would my aunt (granda died but my aunt still needs a stairlift and she has used it daily since before his death)0
