Gas&Elec 3yr fixed worth it? uswitch says £89 more- 2yr £108 less

My dual gas/electric deal ends next month and it sounds like its worth incurring a penalty to switch now.. heard the Money Expert guy on radio today talking about 3 year fixed deals available - USwitch show this as £89 a year more expensive for me than the 2 year fixed deals (saving me £108), so are prices going to get so expensive that that it's worth going for the 3 year fixed deal that's £89 dearer annually? or is the whole thing more complex, is it just for the amount of energy I in particular am using that's giving me these results?

3 year fixed - £89 more expensive

2 year fixed - £108 cheaper

If you could make this clearer for me I'd be grateful, thanks
