Blurred text

After a couple of weeks away I return to find clumps of text on my computer screen appear blurred.
If I move the cursor over the text it seems to mostly clear it up or if I highlight it it clears.
It appears to only happen when I'm surfing the web and not any offline work.
Is there something obvious I am doing wrong ?
Many thanks in advance.

    Are you using Firefox?

I had a very similar issue a while back, and cannot remember how I resolved it - I'm sure it's something to do with font rendering, it's hidden away in the settings (open a blank tab or window and type about:config in the address bar, but please have a google first!).

I had the same issue with Firefox and the above setting change fixed it.
  • On a Firefox forum I found the solution.
    Tools.Options.Advanced.
Then uncheck " Use hardware acceleration when available. "
