Wrong stove supplied and now installed.

Hi, if anyone can offer any advice on this matter, I would really appreciate it.
Last week I ordered and picked up what I thought was a multi fuel stove. I specified that I required a multi fuel when ordering over the phone and the product code on the invoice corresponded with the stove that I wanted. This I confirmed when I picked the stove up from the store.
However, once I had had the stove installed by a independent Hetas approved installer and started to read through the operating instructions did I realise that I had in fact been given a wood burning only stove. This stove has a very slightly different product code from the one ordered.
In this instance, am I liable to pay for the delivery costs associated with swapping the stoves?
As I have had the stove installed and will have to get the new one installed, will I be able to claim this cost from the supplier?
Thanks,
Ryan

so does your receipt state a different stove than what you have received?
If so, it should be easier to make progress with the retailer0 -
Yes- the receipt was for the multi fuel stove.0

Does anyone know if I can claim for having the correct stove installed as a direct out of pocket expense?0

Assuming you are a consumer rather than a business then you are able to recover consequential costs.
You will probably get an argument that you should have spotted it before installation but given the retailer who is completely au fait with the model numbers etc didn't spot it then I think you are on safe ground. Can wood be converted to multi fuel by swapping a few bits rather than replacing the whole thing?
If you paid by credit card then get them involved if the retailer gets awkward0 -
What vaio said ^^^^^
You should not be out of pocket. They should swap them over, paying for the current one to be removed and the correct one to be fitted.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
