Karndean?

Hi All,

Got a quote for fitting Karndean vinyl flooring in an upstairs room - so would be screed with ply floor covering on boards, then the vinyl would be applied. Room is 3mx3m, and it's Van Gogh range - quote is for £700 which seems massively expensive to me - the flooring costs £30 or thereabout per msq, so that would be c£300, but would the ply and fitting really come to another £400?

We just had some J2Flooring fitted and I was equally surprised by the cost. The flooring we chose was £20/sqm, and we assumed the rest of the cost was for 'fitting', but it turns out that the screeding is quite an expensive process.

In our job, we had two rooms to do, one was 4x3m and one was 5x3. The flooring cost about £550, the screeding alone cost £250 for the two rooms, then there's obviously the cost of the adhesive and the fitting.
