Write Off advice please

My 1998 S reg Fiesta Ghia is likely to be written off as the repair cost will probably be more than The Glass's Guide value.
Can I pay the difference between the Insurance offer and the Garage Cost to have the car repaired as its in very good condition apart from the recent bump, thats to say if the repair cost is £2000 and the insurance offer me £1600 can I make up the £400 and have the car repared.

If the car is written off,ask the insurance company if you can buy the car from them.Its usually around 10% of the price your paid out.
Then you can use secondhand parts if you like...........0
