N Power price increase

Hi I applied on Saturday to switch to n power's fixed price tariff for 4 years. They have just announced a price increase of 10 percent .Will this affect me or am I still with the price I was quoted on Saturday even though my switch hasn't actually gone through completely yet?

The price rise is effective from 1st December so your quote should be OK.
  • I switched on Sunday to the fixed until April 2015 offer (am hoping Labour get in an renationalise in 2015) how can I find out definitely that my fix will be at the pre 1st Dec price? I understand it takes 8 weeks to switch which will be after this date?

  • I spoke with npower earlier & they talked to me about the April 2015 deal & said I wouldn't have to incur the price hike

I'm on npower online aug 2014 anyone know if they will charge to move to another of there tariffs without charge. Tried calling 1 hour min wait. Argh !!
  • Same here - Currently with SSE for Gas and Electric - so applied to the nPower fixed till March 2017 late Saturday night via the 'Cheap Energy Club' on here, then I see on Monday nPower are upping their prices - How do I definitely confirm I'll be on the pre price hike price? Don't want to just assume all will be ok, find out it's not, then it be too late to go elsewhere i.e EDF also have a fixed till 2017!

    Hello NicRit,

I can confirm you will be charged the price you were quoted prior the announcement.

    Thanks
