Natwest Closed my Bank Account

Make sure that you have changed your bank details ASAP with employers, tax credits people etc as NatWest will swallow any credits up.

Also, change all Direct Debit details to your new account online or phone ASAP as they will be unlikely to honour any.

Once you have done the above, explain your oversight - they will still close the account, but may reduce the amount, and then agree a repayment plan that you can afford.

May pay date varies from month to month and no, generally the overdraft is untouched. I really only got it in May for emergencies.

I've already changed the account to which I am paid in and I've also contact people to whom I have Direct Debits set up with. I'm very lucky they told me when they did or I'd have been paid into my Natwest account.

Luckily, tax credits don't affect offshore account so that's not a worry.

I have an email address for a specific person at Natwest to whom I've been discussing this with. Should I email him and/or send a letter?
