What operating system are you using?
If it's Windows 7 (others too, from memory), then you should have a little up arrow on the taskbar (it will be the furthest left). Click on it and the power is probably there. You can then click on the word Customize and select which features are displayed and which are hidden.
To display something, change the drop down to: "Show Icon and Notifications".
If you put in "Only Show Notifications" then you'll only get pop up messages when that program wants to alert you, and if you choose the "hide" option, then no icon or notification is displayed.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?

Win 7 and yes I do have the arrow to the left of the notification area - and it is already set to "show all icons and notifications" - just no sign of the power indicator !!
I have checked in the control panel / notification area items - and that shows the power indicator as "show icon and notification" too - but the icon has disappeared !!
This is weird ..0 -
Strange.
Try turning off the "Show all icons", then see if the power meter appears.
Also, was it showing in the pop up window above the Customize button?
"Wondering aloud"... perhaps you have too many things running in the taskbar?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

I have already tried turning off and back on again "ALL ICONS" - No effect
The number of icons is only 6 in total - so plenty of space !!
it used to appear on the bottom of the screen between my antivirus icon and the action centre icon - but it has gone on holiday !
I have tried a reboot too - no difference
Oh well - maybe it will return from wherever it has gone in a few weeks when it has run out of money ?0 -
No, don't turn off "all icons" and then back on again... turn it off, then select the power one to be "show icon and notification"1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

Ah, OK.
So, when you click the up arrow, are there any icons showing above the customize button?
Also, is the time showing?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

OK Fixed it - that article above gave me the idea that it could simply be a corruption in the registry - so I ran Ccleaner which sorted it for me ...the icon is back !!
Thanks for your advice.0
