Cr Shortfall Insurance and Breakdown cover help needed

Hi Last year in april i bought car because a loan insurance problem with TS bi have to take loan from Welcome car finance and they sold me with car Shortfall insurance and 1 year breakdown cover and when ever i went o any local garage to get it fixed on the insurance they refused by saying we don’t deal with insurance because they don’t pay on time so it is finished in april this year but is there any way that i can fight back and claim that money i paid them for breakdown cover and the Shortfall insurance Thanks
