credit cards and overdrafts

greetings. My circumstances are like this, I am still well into my student overdraft, having graduated 4 years ago, the bank is now charging me a fee for this overdraft, so needless to say I need to sort it out quickly so cut out the new monthly bill and pay it off.

My bank offered me a credit card with 0% transfer, however they won't let be transfer the overdraft balance on the the credit card...

I think a way around it would be to get two credit cards, take out cash (£1000) pay it into my account and then transfer the balance for 0% giving me a year or so to pay it off or pay some interest.

The trouble is I am now currently unemployed, and I think it will affect my ability to get one let alone two credit cards.

I am looking to become self employed but I need to buy some work equipment, I was looking to do this with some form of 0% finance or 0% transfer, and then start making the money to pay it all off.

Not really sure what to do, the overdraft is the priority, as it is long overdue to be payed and is now costing me... any advice?

Thanks in advance!
