Hi.
My son is an avid Lego fan and when I used to look on eBay they often used to offer it in colour and size batches. Not sure if you've enough for that? But it was selling for real money :j

We do, we do!
The trunk is big and it's full to the brim. I've been putting off the sorting it out - it's a mix of the coloured bricks and a ton of Lego Technics and Star Wars - think X and Y Wing Fighters, and other outer space odd names that I can hardly pronounce let alone spell :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

I would second not selling it at a car boot sale. My brother is an avid LEGO collector (he's 30 :rotfl:) and he uses this site to look for rare items. It might be worth reading through and looking to keep the trunk of LEGO until you can organise it in to saleable chunks. You can make a decent amount of money from it. Some minifigs will easily sell for £5 and upwards each. It's worth the time it takes to look to investigate0

I nearly feinted with excitement at the prospect of what we could raise by using that siteI need an extra week off just to sort through and work out what we have and how best to sell it. Definitely going to scrap my carp idea of car booting it.
Thank you soooo much and kissjenn too - you stopped me throwing money away there. :TBack on the DFW Wagon:

Today we have travelled down to the south coast in readiness for the wedding tomorrow. We have eaten out which cost £16.
Spent tonight reading MSE and clocking up Nectar Adpoints - have accrued the 250 max for the week. Plus completed my first survey for a panel I got accepted for recently. :j
Bank accounts checked this morning
Boiler turned off before we left and as many sockets as we could
Checked all candles were out :rotfl:
Brought phones, laptops, etc with us and will charge to the max courtesy of the hotel
Going to sit and type a list of things to do next week courtesy of you lovely peeps.
One problem I do have is since I've turned into an avid reader and poster (which I'm finding very motivating), I am physically doing less. Do you 'budget' time for 'doing'?
Early night too, I seem to have had very late nights with being on here and the walk in the blustery sea air has tired me out.
Have a great weekend everyone.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Not really, but I should. I find that by the time I've commuted to and from work (45 minutes each way) and come home and made dinner I'm too knackered to "do"I do need to find some motivation though from a health and a fitness point of view, and to keep the house tidy!!

I don't have the travel excuse, damn
but I do have a routine for housework/washing/food shop which is kept to more or less.
Had a fab weekend away, but spent the wedding day with a terrible sore throat and woke up with a head cold. Feel shattered - or maybe that was the late night and travelling back, ie. getting old :rotfl:
Food shop done - £13.60, including a bottle of Schloer on offer at £1.09 that's gone in the Xmas Food/Drink cupboard. I pick up the odd thing or 2 each week to spread the cost. No meat in there though as we've a decent stock in the freezer, so money left rolls forward into next week.
We have some sweet treats to look forward to courtesy of the favours and wedding cake - was too full to eat them at the time.Free bar covered all our drinks. Free parking as mum has disabled badge for her illness and we've not bothered with lunch as filled up on a full English breakfast this morning.
Ought to start the washing and all the Friday evening jobs (housework) but really don't feel up to doing anything. Have moved a few things in the garden prompted by an empty plastic tub flying past the patio doors :rotfl:
Stay safe in the blustery weather - we're staying in, however I have to drive to collect the dogs in the morning from their own little weekend break.
I might actually get to do some 'doing' tomorrow! :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Money-saving progress report
- Clothes washing completed and drying on airers rather than using tumble dryer
- 30p added to the change bucket
- Found an Xmas present on line that's currently on half price offer, have bookmarked so hope to order that on 1st November for new CC month, will save me £20
- SB 50% toy sale has bagged me a great present and saved me £10
- Picked up another Xmas present also half price at the coast - a Port Mierion 2 mugs and tray set, saving £7.25
- Just went through top of wardrobe shelf and have a sturdy holdall (wheels, pull out handle, the works) that I've hardly used and unlikely to, which can go - too heavy to post for eBay, so might try Gumtree?
- Heating still off - that's a miracle for me :rotfl:
- Ingredients checked for choc chip cookie making tomorrow
Reminder list for tomorrow:
- DS wants to go to the cinema this week, was hoping to use Orange Wednesday but we won't make the timings due to me working. Are there any other ways of getting cheap tickets? 10% booking online is the nearest offer I can see so far. We don't go often enough to warrant an Unlimited card.
- Wrap some Xmas presents and write corresponding cards before the pile falls off the dining table
- Take clothes bags to clothes4cash once the storm/winds have calmed down
-Remember cheque book to pay kennels when I collect dogs or it'll add 10 miles for a round trip back home to collect it (a la past stay)
- Pop to SB to get bits that are cheaper than Aldi - shower gel and Basics blue loos (pay with points too)
- Fill up with petrol at SB. Thanks to Morries opening up locally, fuel is 5p cheaper than it was a few months ago and SB are price matching. I want the nectar points!
Shall be back to update and see how I've done.Back on the DFW Wagon:

If you have Tesco vouchers you can use them to swap for Cineworld tickets I think. You can also get cashback in-store with Cineworld with Quidco.

Evening Ali,
For the cinema, do you have a Vue near you? They do KidsAM screenings Sat and Sun, and every morning in the holidays.....ours costs us £2.50 each (which includes a 75p booking fee) which is standard seats (but booking on line means you get to choose where you sit, and you don't have to worry about getting in!). I'm taking mine to see Monsters University this week, for me and three kids that's a tenner (and we take our own drinks/snacks). Or, try Cineworld......if you join their online club, I think it's a pound each for their version of the kids viewings.
I was going to say, don't forget on ebay that you can do collection only, so you can still list your luggage on there as ling as you make it clear it's too heavy to post and item is collection only.
Well done on your money saving x0
