I'm really looking forward to when Hamish unveils the 2013 predictions thread at Christmas.
Do you remember all those idiots laughing at me when I said prices would be up 18% YOY?
This is the reason I own a house and you rent.

The population of London is only 45% white British. That means that there is more Johnny foreigner than indigenous population.
London is not really like the rest of Britain.0 -
I've just taken a look over on HPC...
House prices still dropping in Bruce Spanners area...We love Sarah O Grady0 -
Is HPC still going? Surely they will throw the towel in soon - or they are madder than I thought them! ..... isn't it sweet seeing them dying on their collective swords? :-)Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0

Just spotted this little gem on the express news comments
:laugh:Average house price £252,481, average wage £25000. So, the average house price is 10 times the average salary. The long term average ratio is around 3.5 and we're told there is no bubble? Hmm!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Come on .... I cannot believe anyone can live on £25,000! There's plenty of work not declared, plenty of earnings not listed, plenty of black market goings on .........
A young couple are going to be on £35,000 each, that's £70,000 x 3.5 multiple = £245,000 ...... £25,000 gift from Mum and Dad, £10,000 savings and you can quite easily see that it all adds up perfectly.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

Priceless. :rotfl:“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

They're laughing at the majority of the population who aren't as well off as they are.
Which says a lot about them, and very little about the people they are poking fun at.0 -
