SSE Exit fees

Hi guys,
Has anyone tried to get the exit fees from Souther Electric waived when leaving to a new tariff recently?
I wonder what to do to avoid this...
Still, after moving to the fixed EDF tariff I'll be over 70quid better off for much longer...
Thanks!
Why would any supplier waive early exit fees if you have agreed to them and then leave early?
If you are adversly affected by the recent price rise announcement, and you comply with the terms and switch, an early exit fee is not charged, nor will an increase in prices. :cool:0 -
Usually they don't charge exit fees if you switch to another tariff from the same provider. So you can just switch to their standard tariff, which'll have no exit fees, then switch to another provider.
