How much would it cost to have central heating on for 3 hours per day?

In a small 2 bed semi?

Impossible to say as there are many factors which affect heating costs.

Agree with the above, too many factors not known.

Read your gas meter for the 3 hour period and that will tell you the cost for that specific day.

It depends too on how old your system is and how it works.

We have an old central heating system where we have to have the heating on if we have the hot water on unless we go around and physically turn off all of the radiators.

We have the hot water set to come on for 3 hours in the early hours and an hour in the afternoon.

The only radiator we have on during that time is the bathroom one and according to our smart meter that costs us £1.10 a day.

Today we have had the hot water on for a total of about 7 hours and is shows as £1.71 (I turned the radiator off for about 4 of those hours).

I think roughly we pay about £2.50+ a day if we have the radiators on in winter for about 8 hours (ish). We have constant hot water during that period.

Our boiler isn't brilliant, it is only running at about 75% of what is should but we can't afford to get it replaced at the minute.

It's a trick question. Is there such a thing as a two bed semi?

Wild guess, £1.50 for 3 hours.

Have you seen their past posting style?
I bet they are kicking back having a right giggle to themselves over the replies they are receiving.
