Paying whilst switching supplier

Hi all

I have just switched my energy supplier from British Gas to EDF Energy.

I am currently in credit with british gas (£123/gas & £77/elec).

I pay fortnightly using a payment card (NOT a meter). I am due to pay (£43/gas & £29/elec) this week.

My question is; should I continue to pay British Gas until the switch is complete or not?
