Update

You may remember my post from a few months ago, but you may not anyways,

I have always suffered from low esteem, confidence and self belief...

It took me a lot to be able to to the shop in recent months since losing my job back in July, Since then I have just sat at home and only really left the house once a week for a driving lesson, at times I have looked at myself and thought what am I doing, why I am wasting all this time and why cant I change.

Then I don't know what happened but on Tuesday, I walked into town, got on a train and went to London all alone, and to top it all off I got a taxi for the first time in my life.

No doubt I was scared, and at times in the day wanted to come back home, I even lost my train ticket and had to buy another, something I had never done before.

Now, I think I can address my issues with getting a job, making some new friends as I lost them all for how I become, and maybe sort out other things, I think it finally dawned on me if I didn't change I be like this for some time to come, in June I will officially have left being a teenager and honestly I don't feel like I have done anything in my life yet.

I have also quite calmed down from when I seen the increasing amount of Grey hairs in my hair and then I found one in my beard

This week has been a step in the right direction and one that I should of done months ago, I just need to carry on with these steps, no matter how big or small but as long as I carry on with them :j

If you can keep this momentum up then Tuesday will have marked the start of a brave new future for you. Don't be afraid to take chances and make mistakes. That is how you grow and build resilience. Very few things in life are as difficult to achieve as they can seem when you contemplate attempting them. Well done for how far you have come already, you should be very proud of yourself :T
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
  • Thanks for the kind words everybody, it means a lot to me and will help towards me carrying on in the steps needed!

Well done Michael, that took a lot of courage. One step at a time.
Keep us updated no matter how trivial you think it is to us, we are all here for you.

Don't fret about the grey hairs, mine started about your age. I think most peoples do really.

I didn't see your original posts - do you have family near you?

Well done OP, that took great courage.

Many women find grey hair very distinguished, so don't worry on that score!
