My engagement ring was handmade in Dubai 10 years ago, the diamonds are set in white gold, the white still looks as white as it did the day I got it, even the parts that rub against my wedding ring. Even the white gold in the recessed band of my wedding ring is still white.

Good quality white gold doesn't need replating every few months, interior white gold does, or yellow gold that has been plated to look like white gold does.
