canon PIXMA mp280 printing problem

After giving up on my HP printer and its problems i aquired a Canon PIXMA mp280 all in one.I haven`t got a disc but driver downloaded without any problems.I tried it out ,1st copying then printing off document with no problem.Today I thought i`d better try printing photo.The printer made all the right noises but photo paper came out blank .I have now downloaded Easy Photoprint ex which would have been on the disc.Again downloaded without any problems ,however it is still not printing photos.Can anyone help me please,i am beginning to think maybe it is my pc but that doesn`t make any sense to me as it is printing documents.:(:(

I've got one of these and never had a problem with it.


Certainly use easy photoprint ex, follow the prompts therein.


make sure the paper is lined up exactly where it's supposed to be of course - you printing on A4 photopaper or 6x4?

trying to print on 6x4 but as i say it is printing documents.

and its printing in colour OK on documents?
I went to have a look and if you follow all the prompts (3 stages) in easy photoprint you really cant go wrong, I would've thought.
photo paper goes in the centre at the back yes?
i'll helpif I can but cant do much more as it stands, sorry

right I managed to print off photo from my picasa photos but unable to print from "my pictures" or in "easy photoprint Ex"

well if I only use picasa to print then yes it`s solved but would like to be able to print photos direct from `my pictures" without having to go into picasa but if i have to then c`est la vie

well, you'd have to either go into picasa or into easy photoprint so is there much difference? sorry if i've missed the point
