Yellow powder? Mold?

Hi.

I had a dpc installed last year and internal walls replasterd (back to brick) and I have just noticed what appears to be white powder and also yellow powder on the lower wall inside? Is this anything for concern or is this normal?

I've heard of efflorescence but what is the yellow stuff?

I'm concerned!

Thanks

I have this on the bottom of one wall just above the skirting board. My damp meter says its 20% there. I assumed it was caused by condensation. I have no DPC.
  • Interesting.. I wonder what it is?

Not sure. I did think it could be condensation but also in our case could be where a flower bed was built up on the external side of our wall and caused quite a bit of damp before we bought so could still be where the wall hasn't yet fully dried
  • Anyone else got any suggestions?
  • Do I just brush it off and see if it reappears?

Is the yellow stuff just.. I dunno? Yellow efforecence ?

    Anything to be concerned about?

Help much needed by either a builder, plasterer, surveyor, anyone really! haha ;c)

    Thanks guys!!!
  • anyone? ;\

It's almost certainly efflorescence. Normally white but is also available in brown and yellow.
