A friend of mine has bought one the above mentioned systems from Argos, it is a 3D Blu-Ray home cinema system model no. HT-F4500, and he cannot access the Dolby Pro Logic II surround modes or select the 3D option to watch Blu-Rays on his 3D capable 60" Freeview HD television;apparently there is a NON-3D button equipped remote control supplied with it and this remote should have a button marked SOUND EFFECT to select various surround sound modes on the unit.
I have had to contact Samsung by e-mail to see why this model of unit has been supplied to Argos stores with the incorrect remote control and incorrect instruction manual (which I'am awaiting for a reply on, and they may even supply the correct remote control and instruction manual free of charge or at reduced cost;I've had to print off the correct system manual off the website as well for my friend as well).
I have got an answer from them regarding the unit;it can apparently reproduce Dolby Pro-Logic II surround sound in movie and music mode from all 6 speakers with the correct remote control, the one currently supplied has a DSP-EQ button, but the sound reproduced is not true Dolby Pro Logic II, it is just simulated surround environments as is usual for DSP modes.
It's wrong;why should manufacturers play around with the stores and consumers by supplying the incorrect accessories with their products? It's not fair.

Take it back to Argos for a refund, they always offer outstanding customer service so you will have no problems then buy it from somewhere else. Or if it was a special price at Argos phone their customer service team, again they are great and will solve the problem with Samsung for you.
Not sure what Samsung are like to deal with, I have lots of Samsung things but none of the have ever gone wrong............"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -
Are you sure it's not just the one box your friend bought which had the wrong remote in it?
Take it back to Argos and ask for a replacement, then see what remote is in it.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
