hi, i have been getting ctc for my to children, 12 weeks ago my partner had our 3rd, informed tax credit off change strait away, still awaiting the new award  , now recently started work, so will aplly for wtc aswell, but my concern is when i tell them again they will delay the award further by adding my work details to the claim,
i will rely on the ctc & wtc for help paying the rent as council will not help as i back to work, is there a rule stating that the award sholud take no longer than a cetin time????
it has been 12 weeks to date and when i give them the new details it will be longer!!!!
please any help

Why not just ring them up... perhaps they are just delayed with all the Review packs they are sending out...
I never waited even a fortnight when I notified them about a new baby.0 -
ive called them 3 times a week for the past 10 weeks, last thing they have said is that they have been having problems getting the "computer" to proccess my claim, i have given them the renewal details to rush the claim along, also had my claim esclated to a team leader, and have had a speailist team deal with my claim0

i have never had this problem....but i know a couple of weeks ago they told me there was a problem as my award notice was not issued till 4 days after a change of circumstances.....when i informed them i had another baby i got my payments altered immeditaly and an award notice with 7 days...
i have phoned today to alter my income and was told a notice would be issued in approx 2 days, so i would give them another ring !!!0 -
Re you starting work you don't need to apply for WTC you just have to tell them of your change in circumstances and the following details:
Start date
Number of hours per week worked
Name and address of employer
Employers PAYE reference
I don't understand what the delay is as I thought the change could be actioned over the phone if you have all the necessary details to hand.
If you have no joy then make an appointment at your local Inland Revenue Enquiry centre and see if they can help. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
