Can paypal do a reversal eventhough after transferring money to the bank, you decided to end the DD with paypal via online banking?
I heard they still can take money out as the account is fully verified...unsure?
im considering to cancel my DD with paypal, as after 20 days of receiving the item, buyer is complaining and feels as though I ripped him off as he doesn't feel the item is value for money. he should have known about the value of item before bidding and now started resolution and money is in my bank now. I feel its unfair and just want to cut off my paypal account.

They can not take the money if the DD is cancelled but they may try and set it up again. Is the DD the only method of payment you have with them, no cards registered ? If they find against you in the case then they will put the debt to collectors but I do not believe they have gone as far as court.0

If you end up with a negative balance on your account, they will pursue you for what you owe them.
Also bear in mind your ebay days will be over, and you won't ever get them back. Same will happen over trying to use paypal at any time again.0 -
They'll take anything owing from your backup payment method-your registered debit or credit card.
The buyer's Paypal claim will not succeed on the basis of 'poor value for money', unless the item was not as described. You think you have a case, defend it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
They can't set up a new DD without your authority - if they did your bank should immediately refund - see the DD guarantee (and probably give PP a rollicking) http://www.directdebit.co.uk/DirectDebitExplained/Pages/DirectDebitGuarantee.aspx.
If PP think you owe them money - then they have to pursue with you direct. Credit/debit cards aren't quite as straightforward, but again they shouldn't take money without authority - if they did, report it as an unauthorised transaction and don't let anyone fob you off.0 -

yes its not fair and absurd. I think the buyer is taking advantage of the money back guarantee, which ebay are advertising all over the website. well after this game the buyer has played I don't think I will be trading on ebay anyway, I am in the process of disputing this matter as I feel the buyer does not have a leg to stand on but the fact that he started the dispute in the first place shows the extreme lengths he would go to get his money back.
I heard that paypal don't take money from your bank anymore now as apparently they revert to ebay seller account fees, so it adds the debt onto the overall ebay seller fees so unsure as to whether its true or not.0 -
If you end up owing them, then it will be like owing any other creditor.
They will pursue you for the money.0 -
Ebay and Paypal is massively biased towards the buyer. They don't care about sellers so much.
If Ebay decides to go with the buyer, your Paypal account will become negative, and Paypal will pursue you for the full negative amount. They will use whatever payment details they have, and if they fail and you refuse to pay, they'll sell the debt. It makes it more tricky if neither Ebay or Paypal have your address, but typically people use Paypal to both buy and sell, so they'll have an address of some sort.
However, unlike a bank, Paypal can't harm your credit report.0 -

so do they still withdraw money from your bank? I was told that if your paypal account is empty they add the debt to the ebay seller account?0
