So I bought some boots from barretts online on the 2nd September 2013
these have been used every day since buying, but nothing extreme just your normal walking around town, not like I have been hiking or anything.
the stitching near the sole is all lose and the elasticated bits at the back are all snagged and lose.
I am not sure where I stand, I am really cross they are the nicest most comfy boots I have had in a while they were only £50 but even so I assume shoes are meant to last a reasonable length of time.
Nothing in the description said anything about occasional use.
what should I expect barretts to do about it? will they do anything?
I bought online and paid via paypal does that give more protection?

I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:

Neither buying online nor paying by paypal will give you more protection after 2 months, but you are covered by the Sale of Goods Act.
This act covers you for any inherent faults in products that you buy. The retailer has to repair, replace or refund any inherently faulty goods. A refund can be partial to take into account the use you've had.
Given that it is less than 6 months since purchase the fault in your boots will be assumed to be inherent unless the retailer can prove otherwise.
Contact Barretts and tell them about the problem.0
