How to fit 9 in a taxi!!!

Hi all, i am going to the caribbean in September to get married with 8 of my family (thats incl OH!) does any one have any good cheap ideas of getting us all to Gatwick Airport together as ive looked around at local taxi firms and they only have vehicles for 8 people and there is 9 of us. We are looking at splitting in to 2 taxis but this is going to work out more expensive that splitting it if we were all in together. All your ideas are appreciated.

You might find that a minibus might not be enough for 9 people PLUS their luggage.

Where abouts are you leaving from?

You need a people carrier & a normal cab.
My Husband says there is a VW people carrier that holds 10 people (9 + driver), but they are rare.
You don't say where you are leaving from?
Remember to allow for luggage as well.

Phone around your local taxi firms, often they link with minibus hire companies.

15 of us are travelling from Portsmouth to Luton and got varied quotes from companies with 8/12/16 seater minibuses and some even have trailers for luggage.
