Hello
I know its impossible to give a definite answer, but does anyone know if hand break control units are covered on the car warranty?

We have a warranty with vertu, our car was in for MOT today. They called to say it failed and it would cost £1100 to fix. It failed on hand break control unit, calliphers and brake pads and back lights were white. My husband asked if it was covered under our warranty. They said they didnt know but will call on Monday to find out.


I know the brakes and lights will not be covered obviously but will the other as that is £700 alone?

Depends on the warranty. Why has it failed? How come you never noticed that it failed?

If its wear and tear then it probably wont be covered.

To the garage we bought it from,Bristol st. We pay a monthly fee for service and MOT. I know, that worried me as nothing was noticeable when driving.hmm

It was covered on the warranty. Bill down to £300. Phew!
