Kitchen Scappage Scheme

  • My kitchen is 30 years old. It's brilliant. I doubt today's modern kitchens can stand up to that test of time.

What exactly is an 'energy-saving kitchen'?

A kitchen with no applicances or lights
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
  • I'm pretty sure this isn't Magnet. I took the risk of responding to one of the numerous auto-dialled calls I have received, and got a call back from someone purporting to be calling from "Eco Kitchens". My internet research suggests that this may be the Company known as C&C Kitchens based in Enfield.

I have served this Company formal notice under the PECR of 2003, and if this flushes them out I'll re-post !
  • I got this call today.

For what it's worth, which isn't much, the call came from (or via)

    +1-513-8982070

    Which is somewhere in Ohio.

The recorded call was exactly like this -

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKb4S8Qbjgo

which evidently led in that case to a call from "Eco Kitchens". There is a website ecokitchen.co.uk (may or may not be the same business) which shows a contact address of

    C&C KITCHENS
    797 Gt Cambridge Rd
    Enfield
    EN1 3PN

  • Firstly, I love the web site redbuzzard pointed to above - just the way to go except the Major failed to blow a whistle loudly Thoroughly recommended but a warning - you will laugh to split your sides .
Joking aside, there exists a bloke called the Information Commissioner on
    http://ico.org.uk/complaints/marketing
where IMHO these calls come under Automated Marketing
OK so the IC is not yet too helpful on this c**p but if enough readers of this column (it ranks # 1 on Google) vociferously deluge the IC with complaints then, perhaps he will act. Please be polite but factual.

This NOT a call for "denial of service" (which is a criminal offence) but for actual victims to make him aware of the sheer number of people who are pestered by this bloke and want help
  • Just found: (see previous message)
    https://www.snapsurveys.com/swh/surveylogin.asp?k=138312369469

which is part of the ICO website and is dedicated to this type of nuisance
  • I just had yet another call from the "Kitchen scrappage" scammers. The phone number reported by 1471 was fake - 0012102490540 - which is apparently being used for all sorts of phone scams. I have previously had identical calls form other multi-scam numbers.

Maybe it's a smaller one and saves you walking so far.:rotfl:

    Hi,
I'm getting 3 or 4 off these calls a day. The number is coming up as withheld number. How the hell do I stop these calls? it starting to drive me mad.

Why is no one doing anything to stop these automated messages. I have already reported these calls and I am registered with the TPS and still get them. I even had one on Easter Sunday! It really is ridiculous that these hassling morons were brought to book and that the powers that be stepped in to totally ban this form of menace.
