npower fixed 2017 new bill problems

Ive been with Npower for many years, I would switch, but theyre the cheapest in my area... Choice? I think not.

Anyhow, signed up for the fix until 2017, was paying £160 per month for G&E the switch should have put my payments up to £185 (prepared for the risk)
I got my new bill, £800 for the last 5 months, and a refund of £150, but the new payments were £320!!!!! per month!!!

After being on hold for over an hour they say there is a problem with the way our usage was predicted.... no ***** sherlock!

So theyve put it back to £160 and review in january.

(we're a 4 bed semi with 5 adults and teens.)

How can a multi billion pound company get it so wrong? I give them regular readings, sometimes weekly, Im using on average 15% less than last year.

Another thing that mystifies me is that 3 years ago (and the previous two years) I was paying £240 per month, ok weve cut back a bit, but for the past two years Ive been paying £160 and only got £200 in arrears after last winter, I rekon I was being shafted 3 years ago?
I hope mine is an isolated case and everyone checks their bill before that first payment comes out.

Stay warm folks.:)
