A week free holiday anywhere in the world, cheapest flights?

We have the opportunity to use my FIL's timeshare, he's paid the fee to ensure we can use any of the timeshare properties anywhere in the world.

We are on an extremely tight budget, so I'm trying to find a place abroad which would have reasonably priced flights with a currency that isnt gonna cost the earth for us to change our spending money into.

We COULD pick britain, but since we've not been abroad in almost 3 years, we'd love to use the opportunity for a really special holiday just the two of us abroad leaving the kids behind

To be honest, dates/times completely depend on price. Not mid-summer, but apart from that really anywhere anytime.

Have wangled a brochure full of all our options, even more flummoxed. Some beautiful places, but I don't even know where to begin finding the best value to travel to...

For flights, try http://www.skyscanner.net/flights-from/uk/cheap-flights-from-united-kingdom.html - put in the airport you can fly from and 'everywhere' (without the quotes) as the destination, then pick a month you fancy going. This brings up a list of cheapest prices by country.

When you select a country, you get a list of prices for each airport in that country. Pick your airport and you get details of lowest prices each day in the month.

As for value (and warm), likely to be Spain (Canary Islands generally cheapest spend-wise), Portugal, or Greece.
