Random questions about whistle kettles

Complete random question - we are thinking of getting a whistle kettle to use when we go camping and wondered whether we should use it at home. Would a whistle kettle be cheaper than an electric one?
May be a very simple question - but which is cheaper?
By the way, when I do find a whistle kettle I will do it as cheaply as possible!;)

Hi blackangeluk
if you are talking about using your camping whistle kettel at home make sure it can take the heat. Camping gas is different from gas at home.If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0 -

The whistle on a kettle is exceptionally irritating. It's easier to see how much you're putting in an electric kettle so you don't boil too much. I may be imagining it in my uncaffeinated haze, but the whistle one always seems to take longer to boil.0

Thinking about the whistle, I also need to consider if I was otherwise engaged (i.e. toilet trip
) and the kettle was boiling and whistling - it would be very inconvenient :eek: - unless of course I didn't go to the toilet just after putting kettle on.
