I have BT broadband with a btopenworld.com email address. I've got myself a gmail and I wondered if, when I stopped my bt email address I would still get bt broadband.
I'm looking to eventually leave BT as my area is not in the Infinity pipeline !
Thanks

Your BT email will remain until you terminate your BT broadband .
Its best to keep the email until such time as you get no more messages on it .Or delete the account from your PC and just log in every week or so via web mail .0 -
Thanks for replying so quickly.0

You can keep your bt email address if you pay £1.60 per month by direct debit.
If you pay by manual debit transfer you will be charged a £2 processing fee in addition to the £1.60.0 -
On a related note (you may know this already) but you can add non-gmail email addresses (e.g. btopenworld.com) to gmail so you can see all your email in one place. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

P.S please help BT they need your money to pay for the £1 billion football channel that they skillfully negotiated.
If you do find any football matches that are worth watching on BT Sport please let me know.0 -

As long as you have BT broadband, you still have your BT email address. No need to pay anything extra. You can set up as many other email addresses as you like, BT don't care. Your BT email address is free with your BT broadband.
If you leave BT, then the BT email address will go too, unless you pay for it. But remember, unless you switch to Virgin, if BT can't offer you infinity, nobody else will be able to offer you a fast package either.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
