Deposits

Hi all,

We are setting up a hire business and I wondered whether it is possible to take refundable deposits via paypal? Or what is the best way, if it is not always possible to take cash deposits?

We don't have credit card facilities at the moment.

I guess you could take for fee+deposit, and refund the unused portion of the payment.

On the basic card handling schemes like PayPal you can't do the kind of pre authorisation that hotels do, which would be the better solution. Ask your bank about this for the future
