yes and no, other things ordered (via play.com but with different suppliers) came to my address so why/ how did i get a second address that full of x's.
I haven`t got a confirmation order (could have been deleted)
In the Distance selling regulations it states I can cancel my order, and they freely admit theres little chance that the items would get to me, staff should have noticed the mistake. They just repeat that if the post office return the item they will resend them.
Ive been online shopping for years, never had a problem before.
The total of the two items is approx £32, not a massive amount but if someone asked me to post something and the address just read lines of x's, I`d take some responsibilty.
Guess I could ask for proof of postage.0 -

They asked you to confirm your address but the address they wanted you to confirm contained many xxx's, is that right?
You responded that you could not confirm the address, is that right?
Wouldn't a better response have been "sorry I cannot confirm the address you have supplied, but I can confirm that the address you should be using should be 123 High Street, Anytown, AB6 7XY"
Instead you appear to have left them with an address that you could not confirm.
Oh, and by the way, their email does not say that "their staff should spot the mistakes".
You appear to have quoted their email where it says "Our staff often spot address errors like this, but unfortunatley they did not in this case."
Somewhat different, I am sure you will agree.0 -
After several enquiries about the items being late, being told to wait stating they had been having problems with the post office, Then asked if I could confirm the Address of X's, I informed them that it was wrong and supplied the correct address.
yes I have worded it different there.
maybe I should give up, the fault is with Play.com for supplying a incorrect address (altho the other items ordered all came to the correct address)
When I phoned play.com they stated I have 2 address on my account, and the one wrong had been, I asked how this could happen play replied someone must have entered it, Play.com also admit this mistake should have been picked up by their software and also by Picstop.
How do I know they posted it, or it hasn't been returned already?
Well I wont be using Play.com again.
Thanks Wealdroam, I do understand we should be looking at both sides of the problem.0 -
You need to find your order confirmation email. Or look at your order history on play.com - does that show x's, if it does, then you cant blame the supplier, that's what you confirmed your address as when you ordered.0
